Script

This semester, we've begun learning Animation techniques and, along with it, have been given a task to complete.

Our task is to create an animation of no more than 11 seconds using a selected soundtrack and provided rig for Maya.

Currently, we are on the planning stages. This includes creating a script, storyboard, animatic and dope sheet which will help us when it comes to the rigging stages.

I've selected a soundtrack from the Matrix as shown below:

The script is laid out below:

Setting: A plain white cell within a police station with bars instead of a solid wall. In the cell is a single green-blue bench attached to the back wall and a solid white sleeping bag on the floor.

A lone man, known as the suspect, is sitting down on the bench with both his forearms resting on his legs.. He begins to reply to a policeman.

Dialogue:

SUSPECT
Calm but annoyed

“Wow, that sounds like a really good deal...But I think I've got a better one.”

The suspect straightens his back and stands up. He starts walking towards the policeman.

“How about... I give you the finger...”

He stops in the middle of the cell and points towards the policeman.

“...and you give me my phone call”

The camera fades out to black.
