Facial Rig Emotions

An important part of acting is showing emotions through the use of facial features. This extends to animation too. By using facial rigs, we can manipulate the facial features of a mesh to portray emotions. The eyebrows, eyes, cheeks, lips, chin and jaw are the usual features available to be manipulated and using the Morphy rig an example of emotions can be shown.

Angry  

Sad
Disgust
Fear/Surprise
Happy

Animatic

This is my first attempt at an animatic using the script as a reference to create the images and edit them into a sequence to the audio file.


The subject needed to be centered in the frame more


This example is better as it gives the subject movement during pauses such as showing the middle finger
